Practice Nurses
Our Practice Nurses (Hazel Darling, Alison McClintock and Louise Chicken) aim to promote a healthier lifestyle and reduce the incidence of heart diseases, strokes and some cancers. They offer a wide range of clinics in health promotion and management of chronic conditions, such as diabetes and asthma. Our practice nurses also offer family planning advice.
Practice nurses are registered nurses (RGN) with additional training and qualifications who work in the surgery providing skilled nursing and health care. They work in close co-operation with our doctors.
Our Advanced Nurse Practitioner is Toni Baker. She works alongside the GPs in offering same-day urgent care appointments.
Health Care Assistants
Claire and Pat offer appointments for taking blood, fitting our 24 hour blood pressure monitor and ECG event records, standard ECGs and NHS Health Checks as well as B12 and some adult vaccinations.
