It may be difficult to acknowledge that you are having a problem with depression or low mood, but the practice is somewhere you can seek help.

If you make an appointment with your usual doctor, or the one you feel most comfortable with, there are a lot of things we can do to help.
Just talking and acknowledging the problem often helps a lot.

We have leaflets and self help booklets.

We have information about other agencies e.g. CRUSE for bereavement help, NECA for drugs and alcohol help.

We can refer you to our Practice Counsellor

We can refer you for advice from Community Psychiatric Nurses, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Social Workers, and Occupational Health Therapists etc

We can discuss medication if you would like.

We have a questionnaire that may help establish the level of your problem which we will repeat around two months after you first complete it to help us assess how well you are doing.
